FEATURES OF THE USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION

Abstract

This article examines the issues of origin, formation and implementation of information technologies, and the educational information environment, the use of educational platforms, and software. The use of information technologies is an integral part of the educational process, because the majority of students in our country are engaged in distance education. Every student needs a high-quality study of the discipline, both the lecture material and the practical part of the discipline. The task of the teacher is to meet the needs of the student, namely to find educational platforms and programs, with the help of which the discipline will be taught at a high level and in full. Today, the following platforms and programs are widely used by educators: Moodle, Human, Google classroom, Zoom, Edmodo, Coogle Meet, Education Games, Virtual Worlds, Word Pad, Excel, Statistics, MathCAD, MATLAB, Power Point, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Speaking Mouse. Each of these platforms and programs, along with their advantages, also has specific limitations in their use in the educational process, which ensure their effective use for the appropriate types of classes (lectures, practical classes, or laboratory work) and their respective forms (distance, mixed, or classroom). The considered software solutions ensure not only the organization of the educational process, but also give the opportunity for students to independently organize their studies, and contribute to the development and satisfaction of the individual needs of students. Considered new opportunities in the education system, which are provided by modern information technologies and allow continuing education in distance or mixed forms of education, where both the teacher must quickly provide the student with the necessary information, and the student has the opportunity to adjust the results of the perception of this information.
