SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY OF FUTURE TEACHERS-SPEECH THERAPISTS OF JUNIOR COURSES IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE MODERN UKRAINIAN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to present the features of involving first-year students in the specialty "Speech Therapy" in the initial stages of scientific activity during their professional training at the university. To achieve this goal, the essence of the concept of "scientific research activities of students," along with its types and forms, is revealed. It is noted that as a result of students' scientific research activities, their creative research skills and relevant research competencies are consistently developed. The formation of these competencies in future specialists occurs through the integration of research into the educational process. However, this integration can vary, leading to significantly different results. To achieve active participation of students in the creative scientific process, it is necessary to carefully organize all components of the educational process. There is also an opinion that this can be done as early as the first years of study for students of humanitarian specialties. Therefore, an attempt is made to demonstrate that future speech therapists belong to humanitarian specialties. The article also discusses the peculiarities of organizing students' educational and scientific activities in the course "Introduction to the Specialty and Pedagogical Deontology" at Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Cherkasy National University. It is noted that such educational and scientific activities improve students' ability to work with scientific literature and teach them how to formalize the results of their theoretical research. This contributes to the gradual development of the relevant scientific competencies needed to foster their interest in further creative scientific work.
