The article examines the current state and prospects of using digital technologies in the presentation of educational potential for museum pedagogy. The author considers digitalisation as a complex process that covers various aspects of museum activities, including digitisation of collections, creation of digital catalogues, analytical activities, educational programmes and digital marketing.
The paper analyses the international experience of implementing innovative technologies in museums, including the use of virtual and augmented reality, interactive exhibitions, and mobile applications. Particular attention is paid to the evolution of the concept of digital presentation of educational museum collections and its impact on visitor interaction.
Based on a survey of students and museum staff in the Ternopil region, the author assesses the current level of digitalisation of regional museums. The results of the study show that museums are actively implementing basic digital tools such as websites and social networks, but are somewhat behind in the use of more complex technologies, such as virtual reality.
The article highlights specific examples of successful application of digital technologies in museums in Ternopil region, including the creation of virtual exhibitions and participation in international projects on digitisation of cultural heritage. The author emphasises the importance of developing the digital competencies of students and museum staff and the need to create a digital strategy for each museum, in particular for interaction with representatives of the educational sector.
Based on the analysis, the author offers a number of recommendations for improving the process of digitalisation of museums in the region and their use in the educational process. These recommendations include methods for creating high-quality digital content, developing analytical tools to assess the effectiveness of online presence, gradually introducing interactive elements in exhibitions, and strengthening cooperation between museums to share experiences and resources.
The study emphasises that digitalisation opens up new opportunities for museums to present educational and cultural heritage, expand their audience, and create a more engaging experience for visitors. At the same time, the author emphasises the importance of a balanced approach that preserves the traditional values of museums while introducing innovative technologies.
