The article presents the organizational and methodological foundations of planning young softball players in the annual macrocycle at the stage of initial training. It is noted that softball acts as a type of baseball, one of the brighter game sports, which has a variety of harmonious effects on the players' bodies. Softball gained its popularity in America, Western Europe and East Asia and aroused interest in other countries of the world, including Ukraine since 1989. Today, softball has become one of the most popular mass types of sports games. Training young softball players is a complex step-by-step process that requires improved annual planning. The content and structure of the annual training plan for softball players is theoretically substantiated, which will contribute to the stability of results during competitions and ensure the progress of their physical development, health and longevity in sports activities. It has been proven that multi-component training is a successful game for athletes, which requires a comprehensive approach to the development of movement qualities, improvement of technical skills and tactical thinking. The content and structure of the annual training plan for softball players was developed, where the tasks, content and methods of the training process at the stage of initial training were formed. The annual planning of the training of athletes in softball is determined by the specifics of this sport, which requires a harmonious combination of physical, technical, tactical and psychological training of players. The schedule of the annual plan of players at the stage of initial training contains the distribution of training loads based on the principles of periodization, accordingly, the load is planned in such a way as to ensure a gradual increase in intensity in the preparatory period, then the achievement of "peak sports form" in the competitive period and recovery in the transition period. In further research, we will see in determining the level of physical fitness of softball players in the competitive period.
