DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE POTENTIAL OF FUTURE SHIP MECHANICS: VIEW OF THE PROBLEM

Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the development of students' creative potential, for whom not only professional knowledge and skills are important in the learning process and free creative thinking. Based on the results of the analysis of the scientific literature, the essence of creative potential, signs, and stages of development are revealed, and the factors affecting its development are also given. Developing students' creative potential as a process of creative self-creation has been studied, considering that a person grows and develops in creative activity. The need to apply a system of incentives that comprehensively impacts all aspects of the purposeful development of creative potential is indicated. It was concluded that the student's creative potential is a systemic personality quality that reflects creative thinking, cognitive specificity, creative activity, and interest in various activities. During self-expression and self-discovery, the student's creative potential is revealed, and productive creative activity is ensured. Thus, in the context of our research, the features of the development of the creative potential of future ship mechanics in vocational colleges are the provision of assistance to students in realizing the presence of creative potential, application of various methods and techniques that stimulate the productivity of creative thinking; motivating students to develop their creative potential; creation of a creative environment that promotes the creative activity of students in educational activities and provides an opportunity to express oneself as a subject of creative activity; motivation for reflective activity; pedagogical assistance to students in gaining creative experience. The prospects for further scientific research in the context of the problem are the substantiation of the structure of the creative potential of the personality of future ship mechanics, as well as the definition of a complex of active forms and methods of its development during the training of specialists in educational institutions of professional maritime education.
