THE USE OF YOUTUBE IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Abstract

YouTube is a popular video hosting site where you can host and view video files. The site offers many different options for users, including downloading video files, viewing and commenting on them, and the possibility of video blogging among the most popular. Due to its technical capabilities, popularity, ease of use, and free access, many teachers worldwide use YouTube. Foreign scientists, among whom it is worth mentioning H. Saed, A. Nasution, A. Kahuan, S. Pratam, V. Almurashi, and others, mainly carried out the study of the practical application of ' in foreign language learning. The study aims to analyze modern intelligence in the field of YouTube applications for learning a foreign language and to determine its practical uses. YouTube can be an auxiliary educational tool when learning a foreign language. Among the advantages of YouTube, we highlight a significant positive impact on students' learning of new foreign language words and overcoming language barriers that arise among students, contributes to the improvement of speaking skills, the formation of correct pronunciation and understanding of the English language, has a positive effect on increasing students' educational motivation and contributes to the study of grammatical rules YouTube videos help improve speaking skills such as comprehension and listening. This especially applies to understanding and listening to a foreign language using video files of native speakers. Using YouTube videos as an educational tool increased students' motivation and interest in learning. It is worth noting that the students' vocabulary has increased, having been supplemented with new terms and expressions. In addition, we conducted a student survey regarding using YouTube videos in the educational process to obtain student feedback. Most students noted that watching YouTube videos improved their speaking and listening skills. YouTube video hosting can become a relatively effective educational tool for learning a foreign language. Its advantages are the availability and wide variety of video materials. Using YouTube videos contributes to developing all types of speaking activities, interests students, and increases their motivation.
