ORGANIZATIONAL FORMS OF INFORMAL EDUCATION OF STUDENTS IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article theoretically substantiates modern aspects of organizational forms of non-formal education of students of higher education in Ukraine. The analysis of previous studies and publications related to issues of development and features of non-formal education as a component of Life Long Learning is described. It was found that at the moment there are no recognized standards of non-formal education in Ukraine, however, some legislative documents are designed to regulate this issue: the Law of Ukraine "On Education" (Article 8), the Draft Law "On Adult Education" (Articles 3, 13, 14), the Procedure for recognition in higher and professional pre-higher education of learning results obtained through non-formal/informal education. Features and characteristics of non-formal education are given. It is noted that non-formal education of education seekers can take place by including them in various forms, for example: youth organizations, participation in volunteer programs and projects, international exchange programs, Internet resources, games and exercises in the field of education. An approximate list of youth and public organizations, student hubs that provide informal education for young people is given. Youth volunteering in Ukraine is quite widespread and plays an important role in the development of society and support of various public needs, it creates an opportunity for young people to develop skills, gain valuable experience and make positive changes in their environment. International student exchanges are organized through universities, non-profit organizations or international student associations and help students to expand their academic opportunities, improve language skills, gain new knowledge and skills in a different cultural and educational environment, contribute to the development of international relations, building a tolerant and multicultural society, as well as improving the professional prospects of students. The use of games and exercises in non-formal education of students in order to activate their cognitive activity and develop skills and competencies is considered. Games, such as interactive games, simulations and role-playing games, provide students with the opportunity to learn new things and promote their active involvement in the learning process. The use of game methods in non-formal education has numerous advantages, including the development of communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
