Empirical principles of sustainable development related to physical training of athletes-dancers, which are based on expert research, have revealed significant differences in comprehension of modern trends in development of physical training methods as a systemic component of special training of athletes-dancers. Current research directions are based on the study of maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max), pulmonary ventilation (VE), carbon dioxide removal (VCO2), heart rate (HR), blood lactate concentration (La max) identified potential demands on cardiorespiratory system response and energy supply of athletes-dancers. Additionally, that take into account the calculated reaction rates of VO2, VE/PaCO2, VE/VCO2, VE/VO2, La registered in the semi-finals and finals of the competitive program, which determine the characteristics of fast kinetics, steady state and fatigue compensation. An important factor in implementation of this process is the functional reserves formed on functions that ensure regulation of and adaptation processes under physiological stress of training and competitive loads. We are considering a certain systemic development of neurodynamic functions, reactive properties of the cardiorespiratory systems and musculoskeletal system. An algorithm has been formed that determines the effectiveness of this process, consisting of conditionally defined step-by-step actions: 1. The period of functions development that form the adaptive potential of athletes, namely neurodynamic functions, cardiorespiratory system, musculoskeletal system. 2. The period of functions development that form the energy and special power potential of athletes.3. Implementation of the first and second periods develops the boundaries of functions and forms a functional potential that acts as a functional reserve during long-term professional careers of athletes-dancers. Its implementation contributes to formation of a highly specialized structure of functional support for competitive activity.
