GENESIS AND CONTENT OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY FIELD OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH: INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

In the article, based on the analysis of the experience of study, perception, discussion and actualization in educational and social practices of the creative heritage of A. Makarenko, an attempt is made to single out the categorical characteristics of Makarenko studies as a specific scientific field. It has been proven that international Makarenko studies in the process of its genesis actually formed all the necessary attributes of an independent field of scientific knowledge: content, organization, and methodology. A characteristic sign of its academic maturity is the successful process of differentiation into powerful national scientific schools, represented by authoritative scientists and research centers. A striking feature of Makarenko science is an extremely extensive system of tasks determined by its research, popularization and pragmatic functions. In choosing the methods of its own studies, Makarenko studies, despite its interdisciplinary nature, prefers the methodological arsenal of historical and pedagogical science and pedagogical biographical studies, and the extraordinary breadth and richness of its source base, which includes: potentially valuable sources for researching the life and legacy of A. Makarenko (Author's texts, funds of various types of state and public bodies, periodical press materials of the 1920s and 1930s, Memoir literature), biographical materials of people from A. Makarenko's circle, materials for the study of A. Makarenko's creative heritage and the implementation of his ideas in educational and social practice. An important factor in the development of global Makarenko studies is its high publication activity (individual publications and publishing series), the debate of scientific dialogue (international and national Makarenko conferences, symposia, seminars, round tables and colloquiums) and the integration of the creative efforts of scientists (scientific centers, the International Makarenko Association).
