Abstract

Database management technologies constitute an important component of the professional training of future computer science teachers, as they provide not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge about the structure, functions, and capabilities of DBMS, but also the development of practical skills in creating, designing, administering, and using databases in real educational and professional contexts. A future computer science teacher should understand the principles of the relational model, be proficient in SQL, be familiar with modern tools for data storage and analysis, and be able to integrate such technologies into the learning process, demonstrating their practical value to students. The study has shown that database management technologies possess significant educational potential in preparing future computer science teachers. First, the use of DBMS enables students to develop practical skills in creating and administering databases, building queries and forms, which are essential competencies for a modern informatics teacher. Second, working with databases cultivates the ability to model information processes, analyze large datasets, and automate learning processes, thereby increasing their efficiency and interactivity. Third, studying and practically applying databases contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of information systems in modern schools, allowing future teachers to evaluate the potential of digital technologies in the educational process and their impact on the quality of education. Finally, preparing students to create their own electronic educational resources and integrate digital tools into teaching develops their professional readiness to work in an information-rich and digitally oriented educational environment, promoting the development of their pedagogical and technological competencies. Thus, integrating database management technologies into the training of future computer science teachers is an effective means of forming professional competencies, enhancing digital literacy, and preparing for work in the context of modern schooling.
